Family Dentist in West Edmonton

Edgemont Dental is a family-owned practice in Southwest Edmonton, and caring for families is what we do. From a child's first tooth to senior dental health, we look after every stage of life under one roof. One team, one location and one clear plan for everyone in your household.
One Dental Home for the Whole Family
Finding a dentist for yourself is one thing. Finding one that suits parents, teenagers, little ones and grandparents is another. When your family sees the same team, we get to know your histories, your concerns and your goals, and care becomes more personal and consistent over time.
Children: Gentle early visits, sealants, fluoride and cavity care that help kids build healthy habits from the start.
Teens: Preventive care, mouthguards and clear aligner options as smiles and bites develop.
Adults: Cleanings, restorative care, cosmetic treatment and replacements for missing teeth.
Seniors: Care for gums, fillings, crowns, dentures and implants, planned around your comfort.
Family-Friendly Scheduling
We know family life is busy. We offer evening appointments Monday to Thursday until 7:00 PM, Friday appointments until 4:00 PM and Saturday appointments on alternating weeks. Family members can block book together, which saves you repeat trips to the clinic, and insurance claims are handled for each family member.
Current Offer for Adult Patients
An offer of complimentary teeth whitening or an electric toothbrush is currently available with adult check-ups and cleanings for eligible patients. Ask our front desk whether you qualify when you book.
A Practice Rooted in the Community
Edgemont Dental was founded by Dr. Scott Kershaw and Dr. Nicole L'Heureux. Dr. Kershaw grew up in the Edgemont community and returned to practise here after completing his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Alberta. Dr. L'Heureux, who also earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Alberta, co-founded the practice with him. Our team also includes Dr. Hanan Dehrab and Dr. Alon Rabinovich, so your family has access to experienced general dentists in one place.
Comfortable, Clear and Modern Care
Calm, welcoming office: A relaxed setting helps children and nervous adults feel at ease.
Options for anxious patients: Nitrous oxide and oral sedation are available. Please mention any anxiety when you book.
Modern technology: Digital x-rays, 3D scanning and same-day CEREC crowns mean accurate diagnosis and fewer appointments.
Honest estimates: Our fees are aligned with the Alberta Dental Fee Guide, and you receive a treatment plan and cost estimate before treatment begins.
Before Your Family's Visit
- Book everyone together so the whole family can be seen in one trip.
- Bring photo ID, insurance cards for each family member and a list of current medications.
- For children, talk about the visit in positive, simple words and let us know about any worries when you book.
After Your Visit
- Keep up twice-daily brushing and daily flossing for every family member.
- Follow the recall schedule your dentist suggests for each person. Some patients are seen about every six months, and others every three to four months.

Insurance and New Patients
